"Chronic pain rarely has one cause or one answer. I built my career around treating it that way: alongside surgeons, physiotherapists and psychologists, not on one technique alone. That is still how I practise, in the NHS and in private care."
Consultant in Pain Medicine
Dr Mehrez has been a Consultant in Pain Medicine since 2007, when he joined Milton Keynes University Hospital NHS Trust. He leads a multidisciplinary team and sits in a joint clinic with spinal surgeons, choosing surgery or an epidural injection . Private practice began in 2008, the year after his NHS consultant appointment.
Dr Mehrez has particular expertise in back pain , sciatica , neck pain and fibromyalgia. His stated specialist interests also include complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS) and whiplash-associated disorder (WAD). He uses image-guided techniques including facet joint injections, radiofrequency treatment and neuromodulation, and audits his own radiofrequency outcomes.
Dr Mehrez is an Honorary Clinical Lecturer at the University of Buckingham Medical School. He is also a Faculty Tutor for the Faculty of Pain Medicine, ensuring the hospital delivers its full training curriculum. He also supervises Oxford Deanery pain trainees at Milton Keynes University Hospital.

Independent, PHIN-published survey data gives the clearest picture. Of 98 patients surveyed, 97% were likely or extremely likely to recommend me. The same survey found that 94% felt I definitely met their needs. Every private consultant is legally required to report both figures to PHIN.
Patients’ own words, from Doctify, an independent, verified review platform:
I had a complicated issue and Dr Mehrez was thorough and understanding, took the time to explain so I knew the risks, even making diagrams that even I could (mostly) understand.

Incredible doctor. Very easy to talk to, makes sure that you understand the risks of each procedure. I felt extremely confident in his company and with his work. Would highly recommend. Not only that he has worked magic and I am no longer living in pain!

Dr. mehrez treated my longstanding coccyx pain. He was very kind listed to my problems and made me feel at ease. Most importantly I am now much better and couldn’t be happier. Very pleased.
